Surfside Beach in South Carolina is two miles of pristine white
sandy beach located in the Grand Strand due South of Myrtle Beach South
Carolina. Surfside beach, also known as
"The Family Beach" is a great place for the entire family to visit for some fun
in the sun. If you are flying in to Surfside Beach,
consider flying into nearby Myrtle
Beach International Airport.
Commercial airlines fly into this airport daily. If you are looking for some information on
places to go and sights to see, this Surfside beach destination guide is
intended to give you a head start in your planning.
A Surfside beach travel guide would not be complete without
giving some insight into the different attractions to see while visiting the
beach. Of course, the beach itself is
#1. However, here are some other places
to visit, as well as some fun Surfside beach activities that you should take
note of prior to getting there.
Surfside Pier is
probably one of the highlights to any Surfside Beach
travel guide. The popular pier is a
great place to go shopping, fishing, or just double as a nice place to
relax. A lot of people prefer to fish
off the pier, if you are fishing please note that as of July 2009 it is
required to have a saltwater recreational fishing license to fish from the pier
or the shore.
Adventure Falls
Miniature Golf is great for kids and the entire family to enjoy. There are two 18 hole miniature golf courses
to try. While golfing, you will see
waterfalls, castles, trees and caverns as you navigate through the fun and
sometimes challenging course.
Adventure
Falls mini golf is
located at 735 Hwy 17 S in Surfside beach.
It is across from Hudson's
Surfside Market.
Wild water and wheels
is one of the more popular activities in Surfside beach aside from the beach
itself. Wild water and wheels is a water
park that also has dry attractions to include go karts for children of all
ages. There are Junior racers for ages
6-9 and Go Karts for 10 and up. After
the Go Karts, head over and play some miniature golf.
The water park itself is the main attraction. It has tube slides, bumper boats, a wave
pool, speed slides and mat slides. Wild
water and wheels is located at 910 Highway 17 South in Surfside Beach South Carolina.
